The lapping plate of the LapmasterWolters 84 machine has a diameter of 2134 mm. It is manufactured from HT300 gray cast iron, compliant with the ISO 185 (2005) standard, and is securely fastened to the support plate using screws.

Lapping slurry is distributed to each conditioning ring via supply lines, each equipped with an individual flow control valve.

As the machine lacks a work table, the adjustment arms can be adjusted both vertically and laterally, allowing for the compensation of normal wear on the lapping plate resulting from prolonged use.

Excess slurry flows back into the supply tank through a sloped discharge line. Additionally, continuous agitation by a stirrer minimizes the accumulation of abrasive particles within the machine.

These columns support the trough surrounding the lapping plate and provide mounting points for the adjustment arms.
