Manufactured by the Lapmaster Wolters Group, the SS-48H Lapping Machine is equipped with a 48-inch (1219mm) lapping plate. Made of HT300 gray cast iron, it complies with ISO 185 (2005) standards. Other types of lapping plates are available upon customer request. The lapping plate consists of multiple segments secured to the support plate with screws.
Lapping fluid is supplied to each conditioning ring through distribution pipelines. The supply pump can deliver more lapping fluid than required to the supply lines.
Excess lapping fluid flows back into the lapping fluid tank via inclined return lines. This return function, combined with the agitator's mixing action, prevents abrasive particles from settling in the lapping oil.
The standard configuration of this machine uses loose abrasives. Water and diamond emulsion are available as optional configurations upon customer request.
The flatness of the lapping plate and workpieces can be adjusted by repositioning the conditioning ring on the lapping plate.
The lapping plate drive system comprises an independent motor, worm gear reducer and multiple belts, mounted on a floor-standing base.
The base features a cast channel steel frame with detachable panels for easy maintenance.
The drive system is equipped with a soft start function, enabling the lapping plate to smoothly accelerate from a stationary state to full speed within a set time. The soft start can be preset and adjusted as needed to adapt to special machining conditions.
Pneumatic and water-cooled configurations are optional for this equipment.
